Security and Caretaker - Glenrock, Wyoming
Glenrock, WY Glenrock, WY Full-time Full-time 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago This is a fulltime position that is responsible for physical security, facilities maintenance and care of specific properties on the VR and Bixby Ranches including houses, buildings, affiliated properties, grounds, equipment, machinery, and security/utility systems.

These positions are responsible for:
Security Providing security observation and care for residences and buildings occupied and/or used by True family members.
Monitoring and maintaining security alarm systems and performing routine security checks on assigned properties.
Monitoring entrance to buildings and grounds; secures locks and other devices to prevent access by unauthorized persons.
Maintaining a general awareness of vehicles and persons that enter the property.
Maintaining a daily log of occurrences including suspicious vehicles, trespassing events, power outages, alarms, and events resulting in damage to property.
Ensuring doors and windows are secured when houses and buildings are not in use.
During emergencies, independently takes initiative to call for assistance from law enforcement, fire, or other first responders.
Assisting fire, law enforcement, or medical emergency personnel that may respond to emergencies on the property.
Tactfully dealing with visitors to the property.
Timely informing the Foreman of any event or situation that may impact the safety and well-being of property occupants.
Other duties as assigned.
Caretaker For assigned homes, buildings and property, performing all required grounds-keeping and garden duties including planting, mowing, trimming, weeding, yard and tree fertilizing, watering, and maintaining the irrigation and sprinkler systems as necessary or directed.
Providing house cleaning and maintenance on a regular basis; and providing periodic help with cleaning, cooking, and laundry and staffing functions.
Picking up property mail and newspaper when requested.
Putting up indoor and outdoor seasonal decorations as required and outdoor lights on various houses and outbuildings; taking decorations down and returning them to storage.
Removing snow as necessary for houses and walking areas.
Handling light maintenance, painting and repairing for all of the facilities on the properties.
Watching and listening for malfunctioning machinery, equipment, appliances, etc.
; reporting current problems or anticipated problems; repairing by own discretion or calling for outside service, as authorized.
Hauling away and properly disposing of household and area trash.
Checking each assigned property not less than every other day during good weather and every day during poor weather assuring security and maintenance.
Residing with immediate family only in housing provided at Bixby Ranch.
Keeping house and yard in clean and orderly condition.
House inspections shall be allowed given reasonable notice.
Such residence is required to monitor area and maintain full time observation of security systems.
Keeping records of routine purchases such as supplies, parts, feed, seed, gasoline, etc.
and submit on a regular basis; ordering replacement stock as needed and authorized.
Communicating and taking direction from True family members, their guests, customers, and employees, outside service agents, and if applicable, law enforcement agencies in order to maintain secure, courteous, and professional environment.
Making suggestions and recommendations to Foreman regarding maintenance and enhancements to facilities.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum requirements include:
A high school diploma with one to two (1-2) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Work experience; cooking and household skills, handyman skills, and general maintenance skills.
Must have good communication and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and holidays.
Possession of a valid Driver's License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
English language fluency, verbal and written.
Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
